I find there are too many residences that use the shop tag that either 1) Are out of stock and derelict, 2) Are under construction, 3) are completely empty and 4) are a casino. I saw in the dev tracker that preventing derelict residences from being a /shop was on the to-do list which would solve most of these cases, however I hardly think a casino should count as a shop. I think since the shop tag is a special case you should have to get your shop approved by staff. Please share your thoughts!
I don't think that is wise given the volume of people who want to use the command and the amount of staff time it would take up. Not to mention, most people who set the command do have a shop, but it's over time that the tag no longer applies. In my opinion, the more autonomous players are, the more enjoyable their experience is. Putting blanket 'staff approval required' limitations on things is not desirable. But that doesn't stop players from reporting residences that have +shop tags without any shop signs on them.
