I have realized when fighting players in pvp that candy is extremely powerful and is pretty much impossible to beat a player in pvp that abuses candy and well pretty much never stops using it the whole time if they have tons of it. I thought it would be a good idea to have candy sickness. If you eat too much candy in a short amount of time the effect will back fire and give you the poison effect or opposite of the regeneration you get which will get worse the more you eat the candy while having candy sickness in a short amount of time. If you only eat the candy and not any other foods it will give you fatigue and weakness for not eating anything else. I also thought that there should be a warning that would appear on the screen saying you are about to Get Candy Sickness and then after eating too much i'll say You Have Candy Sickness. I really think candy needs to be more balanced so that players can stand a chance against them a Sharpshooter + Strength II can not even kill the player using the candy constantly and that does 3 hearts which is 6 health points of damage against the player using the candy its crazy.
I'd be fine with this if it were only in PVP and MA. I use candy a lot for end hunting while I fight shulkers. It's saved me from dying while under attack from a lot of shulkers, even then I still die quite a bit out in the end. But for things like the PVP arenas and MA arena it's a good idea.
Strength only buffs damage on melee weapons not ranged, but its a great idea we need this +1 (I was wondering what those pots you were always chugging were lol)
As someone who relies heavily on haunted candy for boss fights just to stay alive i have to disagree. On average i use 15-20 peices in an average boss fight and that's with a friend helping. To solo anything i need up to 3/4th of a stack! Not to mention i use it in the end against the dragons, shulkers, and in mineshafts if i need a quick health boost against cave spiders. I get what you're saying about pvp and ma, and if there was a way to keep it as is and just block its usage altogether on games, I'd be perfectly ok with the idea. But as it stands if its for a complete serverwide overhaul that would have to be a very hard nope from me. Leave the candy as is so i have a better chance of staying alive in non pvp situations
