This morning some guy was having trouble taking off binding armor she put on by mistake. She was gold, but tried killing herself, but forgot there is no fall damage, so she had to go to nether, loosing the armor. What does this relate with anything? Cause it came this idea to thought: What happens if a Quartz(Regular) player puts on Binding Armor... The player wont be able to take it off unless he or she becomes supporter, so he or she can go to /wild or /waste to die and get rid of the armor
Besides a Skin Comp. Why would there be a need to remove BINDING ARMOR on Utopia. Besides taking said armor to another smp. If you don't want to wear binding armor on utopia, why put it on?. You should already know, there is no fall damage. You also know there is no /wild /waste use without supportership.
Maybe Future (staff) events which dont allow wearing armor for X reason. Maybe you right clicked on mistake while doing something, and not everyone knows Utopia exclusivities so a "you SHOULD know" excuse is not valid or you want the armor in another place
Made a ticket for this. Likely what we will do is create some sort of public death chamber in utopia town for people to get the binding cursed armor off if necessary. Unless someone suggests a better way to handle this. Not convinced on blocking them from wearing it altogether. Doesn't really solve the problem entirely. (What if they put it on while still a supporter).
While they may not be better alternatives, I thought I could throw out a few other options... One option could be to remove the "Curse of Binding" effect in town altogether, and put it back on when re-entering the waste/wild. Not a great solution, but it could work. Another option could be to add a command to remove the armor. If removing it for free would be too OP, you could easily charge a fee of some random amount of rupees. If the command doesn't seem like it would fit in, My dad KnightZer0ne suggested another fun option(My personal favorite out of the three). You could create a building or something like that at town spawn with "Merlin the Magician"(a witch) inside selling a soup that could free your soul from this curse... I hope this was useful... ~SUPERI0N
+1 I know Chickeneer already made a ticket, but still wanted to show some support. Good thinking there Tuq! And I love Superion's idea up there as well
