SMP5 difficulty

  1. Hey everybody,

    Sorry I haven't gotten around to introducing myself, and that this has to be my first post on the forums...

    I'm having a great deal of trouble connecting to the smp5 server. It's 7:55pm (EST). Lag has always been an issue for my sys, but now I cannot even connect to the server w/o being booted 30sec later... something about java timing out..?

    If anybody can give me some advice on what to do here, I'd love to entertain anything. ..Maybe I'll just wait for 20min and try again..?

  2. This problem was happening on smp1 in addition to lag, but the problem appears to have been sorted out.
    It appeared to be linked to opening chests and typing in chat.

  5. If I get that, its mainly because of the server being laggy. If it's still happening, try restarting your router. If you've also got some FPS lag, try getting optifine. Definitely helps reduce fps lag.
