So, for some reason the default name of these is Potato ITem and Carrot Item someone requested we change it to Carrot/Potato so I did... Well, changing the item names is a simple process that is usually tested by simply typing /iteminfo on them... So, Everything looked good and pushed it! ... apparently some bug exists that is affecting these 2 items to not work with the pretty names... I undid the change this morning and now they will work again as "Potato Item" and "Carrot Item"
