Redstone question

  1. I'm trying to make two rows of staggered pistons, open and shut in such a way that you can stand in front of one, whilst the piston in front is closed, and have time to move forward when it retracts before the one you're standing in closes. 2013-02-02_23.04.28.png

    How do I get them to synch so this is achievable?

    I've tried using repeaters, but it's almost as if I need to drop the number of pulses coming through.

    So confused. I hate redstone.

    Any ideas?

  2. Try using a 1 tick pulse. I can show you the design if you need to
