[ QUESTION ] Is this where "rupees" came from?

  1. Ok, I was looking for a meme for a thread and I stumbled upon this....


    So, did rupees come from Legends of Zelda ( picture ), India's currency, or something else?

  3. Well, the Rupee is an Indian currency, so it may or may not have originated from there.

  6. I never thought to question it, honestly, but perhaps I should have. I just sort of assumed it was named after the Indian currency, but I like the Legend of Zelda idea. Let's go smash some clay pots!
