  1. I got glasses the other day. I want the Empire's opinion on how I look with them! :)

So feel free to tell me your honest opinion! :)

  9. You look exactly the same in each pic, that's funny! I did a 5 since you look good in both pics! :D

  10. I think you look better with glasses, one problem that you might run into when wearing them all day is,
if they don't fit you properly then they will tend to slide down your nose quite often

  11. Better, everyone looks better with glasses :3
    Dont loose the glasses o.o
I lost mine for 2 days and it was horrible...

The one problem with being short sighted is that you have to wear 2 glasses for 3d movies in the cinema, so uncomftable...

  12. Erm, without looks better to me, unless you could get the prescription shades. ;3 or, do something more with your hair, like comb it over, or have it spiked up. Or both :p
  13. Do you need the glasses?
  14. Nah. I got them adjusted when I got them.

Only for reading at far distances (eg. signs)

    This isn't a photo shoot. >_>

I wore glasses when I was, like, 8. Then, I lost them, and my vision improved, but never got completely better. These are basically to make up for when I didn't have them. :)
  15. That happens to me all the time D:
    That's true :D
  16. You got a good choice of frames. They are the right color and shape for your face.

You look good, but some people will look at you differently. Makes you look 'smarter' is a very common perception of people. If you only need them while driving (some day) or when reading from the board at school you are very lucky because you won't wear them all the time and people notice less.

Contact lenses are nice to have as an option, for events or some situations that will come up. At parties it's not really ideal to be the smartest looking guy. (not sure why, but it has always seemed to be that way) Just keep in mind that the glasses don't make you who you are.

I have been wearing glasses since the 3rd grade and I can't hardly do anything without them because I'm totally near sighted. It was really hard for me for a long time because I felt funny about them, but it was my fear of not being accepted that really hurt.

Hope you have some good friends that can look past a simple thing and not judge.

Finally, i'm 37 years old and so many of my friends and coworkers have glasses now that nobody notices or cares. Most people need some vision correction as they get older.

    Sorry so long.

  17. Your frames look a lot like mine. My vision is not the worst either. When I take my glasses off, I am blind for about 10 seconds and then my family wonders why I need them if I can see almost perfectly fine. You look really great, though!
  18. That's what basically everyone I know said. :p

    Smarter = better.

    Exactly. Someday.

Basically going to be the only time that I'm going to use them.

    Yep. :D

Tried contacts a while ago. They just don't agree with me. :p

I wouldn't really be wearing them anyway. :p

Ahem. *takes off glasses* *opens the shades to the sunset and looks at the setting sun* *begins to flashback to the 2nd grade, when kids took my juice box and called me "smart" because of my glasses* *starts to cry silently*

    'course not. :D

    Wow.

I posted a picture of myself on Facebook. So far, nothing negative. :D

Or, they're just covering up their childhood immaturity. ;)

Yeah. My sister wore glasses in high school. Thankfully, nobody said anything. :D

Please, how do you think I feel?! I had to put my response in a spoiler for crying out loud! :p
  19. I know right O_O

Nice reply! You are one of those people who will be able to wear Elton John glasses and still have confidence.;)
