I was thinking if we could do a contest for the Monthly News Banner. For example, each month has it's own EMC news, and along with it, it has a banner. So for August, we can make a contest to see who makes the best banner for the August News. And of course, this is a voluntary event. Nobody HAS to join unless they want to.I personally don't see how this could go wrong, but then again, there could be reasons that I haven't thought of.Edit: Or as Kytula said, we can have this event go on every 2 or 3 months
I think it is cool but it might be hard to keep people making banners every single month. After a while, people might just get bored of it. I went ahead and voted yes though because it sounds cool, but just something to think about.
That is exactly what I am saying . Because people won't be forced to enter and it will go on every single month, it can be hard to get enough support farther down the line. Take a look at the recent monthly contest that got only 2 entries.
I like the idea also. But, a suggestion if I may. Instead of it being a monthly contest. How about every 2 or 3 months? I used to have to do something similar for my work; and found it easier to make them in advance, instead of a month to month basis. This way, it keeps it a little more rare, and thus more artists might seek to enter.
This is a pretty cool idea. As said above, this would probably be better if there was a contest every 3 months or so because we have lots of contests. I would like to see this happen!
