Could you make ice more transparent when glowstone and or another light source is the next block? This will give a nice effect in several building scenarios.
This cannot be done on the server level. Mojang would need to make such a change. Normally ice melts when that close to glowstone though, so I have doubts they would add this
I a have glowstone encapsulated by ice trying to get the effect that I wanted and it is not melting...I think it is a torch that melts ice, but thanks for the reply.
