Hey guys! So for the past few days I've been messing around on my singleplayer world with a few mods and recently got Optifine for it, and I really like it. So since EMC allows Optifine I was wanting to get it....but idk how to install it. Also wondering if there was a way to get it to work with Voxelmap. Thanks for the help. LadyJaye
When you install OptiFine for singleplayer it should work in multiplayer too... if it doesn't you did something wrong. There's probably an easier way to do this, but I have Forge (OptiFine) and liteloader (VoxelMap) installed and it works perfectly. http://files.minecraftforge.net/#Downloads Once there, select the installer. That'll create a new "Forge" profile for you. Run Minecraft with the new profile, then close it. Now, install OptiFine. http://optifine.net/downloads Choose the version that you want and click the download button. I use the mirror, because I have adblock and adfly doesn't like that and won't let me download it. Drag that download into your new "mods" folder. OptiFine should be installed with Forge. http://jenkins.liteloader.com/job/LiteLoaderInstaller/ Click on "liteloader-installer-1.8.0-00-SNAPSHOT.jar" and download it. Select "install liteloader" and click the box that says "extend from" and click 1.8-Forge#####. Click "ok/done/install" and close. Run the Minecraft launcher again. There should be a new profile "LiteLoader 1.8 with Forge" installed. Run the game, then close it. http://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/voxelmap/files/2252262 Download for 1.8. Drag the .litemod file into the "1.8" folder, which is located inside of your mods folder. If everything went right and I didn't screw up these directions, you should have OptiFine, Forge, LiteLoader, and VoxelMap installed.
hey, i actually wanted to run optifine through forge, so i dragged optifine into the mods folder and when i run minecraft it just crashes. whaddup with that?
