Hello Empire, First of all, I'm not complaining. In fact, this fun event is the only reason why I've been playing Minecraft. I'm just curious about why I'm not getting any Turkey Slicer drops. I have gotten 0 Turkey Slicer Drops. I am also using a Looting III sword. I've gotten plenty of Cooked Turkey, though. I'm curious what the drop rate is on the Turkey Slicers. They seem to be avoiding me for some reason. -PenguinDJ
It seems to vary massively. I managed to get about 4 Slicers over around 20 Super Turkeys, though my cousin got 3 Slicers over his first 3 Super Turkeys which is very lucky. It all seems to depend on your luck! I put 1/5, as it seems to be around that on average for me though!
drop rate is the chance of rare items dropping looting increases the chance by 1% per looting so even at looting 3 - that would just mean your chances at receiving the rare drops would be greater, but it still doesn't guarantee it. if a drop is a 1/28 chance using looting 3 means 3% higher drop rate from 2.5 % default ... making it 5.5% chance .... mathematically speaking that would take it from 1/28 to 1/27.16 chance (or 1/26.46 if you consider the entire 5.5%) ... it does change it... but not by much. i killed 3 got 3 turkey slicers in a row... after that my luck went back down... but it's still random.
