Gold farm question

  1. I'm trying to automate the gold collection at my farm by using a rail system. The problem is that the pigs are spawning through the rails. Does anyone know of a way to stop the pigs from spawning?
    Obviously I can't place rails on slabs and light levels don't affect pig spawning. So what to do?
    So boring to walk around collecting nuggets, I'd much rather ride.

  2. You need to use half slabs, that way mobs will not spawn there. Hope this helped!

  3. Have you tried placing blocks over the slabs? And then placing the rails?

  4. Since I can't place rails on slabes, I need to use a full blocks. Any yes they spawn on blocks on which I have rails.

  5. Hmph, strange. Try using 2 half slabs stacked to create a ghetto full block?
