  1. anyone found a download link that works? I tried two and my game keeps crashing.
  2. I use the latest version of forge for 1.11.2 and it works fine. Are you using just forge or do you have mods installed?
  3. right now all i've done is download Forge and install the Forge client and then try to open the game with the forge profile it creates and it crashes

i tried the recommended and the latest from https://files.minecraftforge.net/ for windows

    here is the crash report:

  4. From personal experience I can say that the windows installer version does not always work. Try using the installer version of forge.

Also, are you using a resource pack that is not updated to 1.11? I noticed the mention of one in the crash report.
  5. well damn, that worked. thanks!
    Sgt_Pepper4 and WitherDoggie like this.
  6. I spoke too soon, the "forge" profile was using the regular 1.11.2 and not the forge one so when I switched it then it went back to crashing :(
  7. In the mods folder make sure that you have the mods in the version folder ex mods/1.11.2/(mods)

Also try to remove any resource packs
  8. hmmmm so now I got it to work, it says I'm using Minecraft 1.11 powered by Forge 13.19.1.2199 but EMC is kicking me saying I'm on the wrong client version :(
  9. You need to run 1.11.2 as .2 adds stuff not in 1.11
  10. Ah okay, I figured it out. I downloaded Forge 1.11.2, by default on the page it downloads just 1.11. So now I got that.

Now I just need to find a working copy of Optifine for 1.11.2 because the one I tried was crashing.

    Thanks for your help!!
  11. Just loaded up forge with optifine 1.11.2 and no problems.

  13. Ah yeah that works. Got my HUD and Optifine up and running w00t w00t!
  14. Wayne, this is what I suggest. I just have the regular Curse Forge installed, and from there; I can make a mod pack in 1.11.2.

    Forge: https://mods.curse.com/client

That's the curse client; download the minecraft one.

EDIT: If you ever need it again... as I see that someone helped you.
  15. I read this thread and read a few errors said by some which are false. Resource packs would not affect your forge launch.
If a resource pack is before 1.9 - It will simply be marked read, unusable, and will not be a default choice. If after 1.9 but before 1.11.2, it will use the textures for the available blocks and assets and use the default for any missing textures. IT WILL NOT TAMPER WITH YOUR FORGE. Just because one sees it in Crash Log, doesn't mean its the problem. Crash log lists everything about that Minecraft Profile setup.
