I was curious if anyone else is having this issue. I signed out of EMC for one second to test something in singleplayer, when I tried to rejoin it said "Error occurred while contacting login servers, are they down?" I've disconnected and reconnected to my internet, logged in and out of my MC account, and restarted MC but I still have the same issue. If any of you know why this might be happening or what I can do to fix it please post below. Thanks.
In the future you can check to see if any of Minecraft's services are down, to determine whether the problem is on your end or theirs.
