It's been at least a week since this bug started. I'll get a notification on the "Inbox" menu on top of the page and I can see who posted the message if I hover the pointer over the menu. But then, if I click on the notification to take me to the chat in question the new messages won't appear, and the notification red box won't go away either. The new messages will only appear when someone else sends a message on the same chat. Anyone else having the same issue?
That's exactly what's not happening! I can see I got a notification, but when I click on it to check the new messages won't appear and the notification won't go away.
This usually happens if there are still unread messages in a thread somewhere. Doesn't have to be really unread, but the system picks 'm up as such. I had this happening in a few PM conversations as well as threads. One way to solve this is to unwatch and then re-watch the thread (click link in upper right corner) or simply go over all the pages one by one. Then it should go away.
I'm on a Windows 10 using 64 bit Chrome, but I don't think this has anything to do with me, it's probably a bug with the forums.
