This is a pretty cool song I found: "I Will Follow You Into The Dark" by Death Cab for CutieThis is the chorus: "If Heaven and Hell decideThat they both are satisfiedIlluminate the NOs on their vacancy signs If there's no one beside youWhen your soul embarksThen I'll follow you into the dark"If you are interested here is the whole thing: Love of mine some day you will dieBut I'll be close behindI'll follow you into the dark No blinding light or tunnels to gates of whiteJust our hands clasped so tightWaiting for the hint of a sparkIf Heaven and Hell decideThat they both are satisfiedIlluminate the NOs on their vacancy signs If there's no one beside youWhen your soul embarksThen I'll follow you into the dark In Catholic school as vicious as Roman ruleI got my knuckles bruised by a lady in blackAnd I held my tongue as she told me"Son fear is the heart of love"So I never went back If Heaven and Hell decideThat they both are satisfiedIlluminate the NOs on their vacancy signs If there's no one beside youWhen your soul embarksThen I'll follow you into the dark You and me have seen everything to seeFrom Bangkok to CalgaryAnd the soles of your shoes are all worn downThe time for sleep is nowIt's nothing to cry about'cause we'll hold each other soonIn the blackest of rooms If Heaven and Hell decideThat they both are satisfiedIlluminate the No's on their vacancy signs If there's no one beside youWhen your soul embarksThen I'll follow you into the darkThen I'll follow you into the dark
I like all of these poems! Thank you guys so much for posting I really enjoy hearing other people's personal poems too, because actually, a lot of them are the same, how we feel insecure to a degree where we don't feel physically human. They all look incredibly good so far, guys, keep it up Poetry is what we do to calm ourselves down by addressing it directly in an indirect method. Writing down our problems with how we felt, how we feel, and all of those things aid our grief, and will create a cure, and acknowledgement and acceptance for what had happened. (If you prefer poems over cats, go ahead. Otherwise, it's a bit sad.) [spolier] This was about my cat, Ozzy, one of my best friends who left me as only a six year-old kitten, by a heart attack. Ozzy loafs, Ozzy lumps, Ozzy claws, scratching your sofe. Ozzy paws, and those incredible jumps. Ozzy jogs, broke his heart. Ozzy falls, hits ground mid-night. Paul wakes, pets his babe. Ozzy eyes, blank as paper. Paul cries, holds him tight. Ozzy dies, but stays alive. Late at night, early in life. Love is love. And love's a knife. [/spoiler]
One night that set the stage For the destruction of what I had loved The decision of two reactions Caused the ending of my greatest attraction Hindsight is always your greatest virtue Too bad it cannot help save Than one thing I was true to A love like this is very rare It makes the heart feel like your walking on air The second this dicapates, you are falling father than ever.. (Just made it up)
