After quite a while in supporter preview, EMC Guides has finally got to the stage where I feel I can publicly release it. Is it perfect yet? No. Does it have every guide ever in it? No. Does it work? Yes. So, if you're not a supporter, you'll probably be wondering what EMC Guides is. In a nutshell, it's a community powered knowledge base for guides, similar to the "EMC Guides" forum section, but everyone can post in it. So, how does it work? Well, when you visit the site, what you'll see is a menu of various topics. When you hover a topic, you'll see it split into multiple guides, hopefully one of these guides will have the answer to your questions. Well, what if it doesn't! Don't worry, ASK is there to answer your questions. Simply click ask a question, type what you need help with and wait. Make sure you check the FAQ and list of guides first though, to make sure your question isn't already answered. ASK allows you to vote answers up and down, to make sure the people who provide the best answers are the ones who get the credit they deserve. Making a guide is easy. Simply click the blue "create a guide" button on the homepage, login/register and the editor will launch. The site's built using Wordpress so the editor is very simple and easy to use. After creating your guide, hit "submit for review" and wait to see if it appears on the site.
