So earlier today I went out into the frontier to make a map of my base in 1.7 Though when I made the map it was blank, so I went into 1.6 and what do you know it worked then. But I went back into 1.7 to look at my item frame map and it's just a bunch of expanded maps, goto smp8 16616 to see, any help?
