Sorry dstrout but you are only 1500 blocks from the outpost. As the rules state at the top of this forum, you must be at least 5k away. Please take time to read through them. You can stay there and continue to build if you wish but I would recommend moving. In the next week or two we will be releasing new outposts which means you can get in early to find a spot as close as possible to the Outpost. In addition, I recommend you use a nether rail in place of the overworld rail, 1 block travel in the nether = 8 blocks travel in the overworld.
