so I know the paintings in minecraft can be controlled by the texture pack you use, but is it possible to create a custom painting that looks a specific way with the default texture pack? if so, I have a good idea for a new EMC promo
It is not possible in vanilla minecraft. One thing players do instead is use maps, and make pixel art. They take the art of the loaded area and the map captures it.
You could edit the design as you want in a texturing program and release it as a default, but beyond that, no.
