Believe, for the purpose you seem to want the presidential pens, they only do half a heart of damage (ie. same as just hitting without any weapons in each attack) Just FYI

Absolutely true, but the looting 4 is pretty nice for the drops even though you have to hack away a lot more than with a good sword. I probably would not care so much about it , however, I've managed to lose a shulker that had these items in it and would like to replace them whether I even use them or not again! I believe I broke the shulker and somehow never picked it up and it despawned.

question: you got 3 slots (main/off hand, head) and 4 items.
how do you intend using them all at the same time? I'm confused

Hah! I'm not going to use them all at once most of the time. Though I guess you could do the gem on head, clover off hand and pen main hand. But I really just wanted to replace them, and since I have a history of losing the pens, I wanted to get one to hold back in reserve.
