Authentication servers

  3. Im trying to connect to minecraft but it says play offline then when I goto connect it says "failed to connect authentication servers are down for maintence."

  9. Is it just me or have there been more generic connection issues since the entire game was essentially recoded...?

  10. Currently they are probably doing maintenance because of the SSL bug that was recently made public. FireShadow - I can't in fairness say I have had more or fewer problems with 1.7 since I have recently changed ISP's twice and made other network changes here. Even if I had not, since it is a game that I play through the intertubes, I am hesitant to blame connection issues on them anyway unless I know something specific like their server being down tonight.
