I suppose this is a related question... Well, beacons have been slowly rising as others have been buying them up for more. Same thing has been happening to diamonds. If you miss it and don't see it slowly rising then you'll get what's happened to you just now - surprise! Price is up. Market value for these has just gone up slowly for multiple reasons, others may know a bit more about why they have gone up, I recommend asking somewhere else about that though.
