but I did make sure to more than prepare with regen, strength, speed, fire resist and health pots just in case, which i didn't need. only iron armor and a sharp 3 diamond sword and about 60 seconds

Try it the next time on a different difficulty level, you'll feel the change :P

I used all the pots except the health pots. didn't lose more than one heart worth througout the battle. I think it was on 5, maybe 6 which I usually put it on when hunting mobs. It definitely wasn't higher than 6

I helped kill another one last night. from my understanding the higher you set your difficulty the more likely they will spawn? I usually run around on 6-7 but with the voter gear i have bumped it back down to 5

For whatever reason, everyone seems to think that Momentus is harder than Marlix, but I find Momentus to be quite an easy kill. You just use a bunch of potions and then bludgeon him. Marlix, on the other hand, takes forever due to his mad flying skills. :P

I still haven't found a marlix, 46 days in. I have seen several momentus but only killed 3. I almost killed one with another person new to emc, not to mc, but we cut our losses after the first two deaths and left it.
