   Also, if you're in the frontier you can place a locked chest next to a mob spawner and it will prevent it from being griefed.

   Like olaf_c said it as a zombie spawner. Wasn't anything fancy since i came across it half finished a long time ago and finished it. I was personally amazed it wasn't found faster seeing as the zombies went basically to the surface and it was close to the outpost
