What kind of books are they? Science textbooks, history, classic novels? What I tend to do is I break up my work with a small reward after each block. So if I have two read two chapters of science and one chapter of history, I might allow myself one chapter of please reading or ten-fifteen minutes of EMC in between each chapter, and an extra ten minutes in between the two subjects.
If all else fails, just remind yourself that it is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to do this reading in order to succeed in your current education and force yourself to do the reading. Overcome that procrastination!
If I get so bored of reading that I just can't stand it anymore, I use Sparknotes. >:) lol, I'm so evil.
(In all seriousness, don't do that. I once got a zero for plagiarism on my book report because I copied off of the site.)
