I've used a mac plenty of times, actually. The differences don't appeal to me, personally, but no OS is perfect and they all have their warts and flaws. However, Apple markets itself as a [lifestyle] as well as a brand, and triggers many of the same regions of the brain as religious symbols do in the faithful. So... the 'cult' aspect is actually pretty relevant.
Just to be clear, I wasn't referring to your comment :P
Well, the cult is relevant, but my point is, most people dismiss Mac because they see the cult and think that everyone who uses it is blindfolded.
I have found, though, that once someone actually uses a Mac for a few weeks, most people agree that it is better. However, some people (like you) don't prefer it, but I've found quite a few people who do.
Personally, I've gotten a mac to usde with my iPad, iPhone, and iPod. I'll be using it while I'm upstate or at the beach and frankly I love that I'm able to easily import photos from my iPhone and edit them, then easily distribute them to the people whom I have taken them for. (I love photography and take most of it on my iPhone.
