Or be informed of the title and author of a book which you do not have to use to judge. You can judge a book by its cover, but it does not mean you always should. There are other purposes.
Book covers have feelings, too. If you were created for one express purpose, how would you feel if everyone and their mother told everyone else's mother that you aren't supposed to be used for the one thing you were made for?
Isn't judging just saying whats right and whats wrong? Is saying a book cover with a dead baby on it is inapropro being judgmental? Or even saying a book cover with a pretty sunset on it is nice? What is love? Did baby ever hurt me? Gallifrey falls or No more?
The soul purpose of a book cover is not necessarily to shove it. You should treat all books equally, though. Twilight looks perfectly okay on the cover, but it is still terrible.
Olaf, why would you respond to my profile post before I can respond to my profile post before I go to bed?
Now it looks like I was replying to you or something.
The only other purpose I can think of is so your book looks nice on a shelf. Even then, though, people will judge your collection based on the covers therein.
