Hmmm, going to assume laptop then. Only thing that i can think of that is causing it to go slow would be a heap of fragmentation and/or you have installed something without know that takes up a lot of RAM.
Nah. Desktop. And I defrag my computer once every 2 weeks or so.
It takes a bit to start up, longer than my friend's Win8 laptop. Installing things are fast, download speed is meh because I'm far from my router. Games are great, but like I said before, I'm far from my router.
My aunt says it's "Because Windows 8 just plain sucks." I agree, as my ISP blocks me from setting a static IP on it, but with Windows 7, it allows it. щ(ಥ益ಥщ)
Nah. I tried to set a static INTERNAL IP address, and I lost connection to my DNS server. I tried so many others, too, and they failed to connect. So, I contacted HP Tech Support, and said "Your ISP disabled it. Talk to them" and I did. So I then contacted Optimum's tech support. Guess what they said? "You need to pay 10 dollars more to get port forwarding/static IP access on Windows 8."
Maybe the fact that I didn't state whether it was internal or external confused you. I could honestly care less about a static external IP. I want a static internal IP so I can port forward my servers easily.
