There's also a religion that bans musical instruments in church. I was friends with one of the female pastors and she was telling me about a wedding shower they were holding for a member of our church. She said they were trying to figure out the best way since her fiance's Religion bans musical instruments.
That reminds of this for some reason: The local Jehovah's Witness church is trying to get me to convert from athiesm to being ATLEAST a christian >.> I hate Jehovah's Witnesses. Christians I can stand (mostly), my parents are Catholic, so I can stand them, too...Jehovah's Witnesses, though...I can't stand them at all.
That's what i'm doing :P I don't think i'll be converting to anything until my 40's... Tbh, I keep trying to believe in a God, but it just doesn't work... I've come up with God made the big bang, and put bacteria on meteorites/planets, and then made them be able to adapt through evolution, and we were the nicest beings, so he chose us to be his 'people'...but I can't believe it...something about it seems illogical.
That is what i thought.
Not many people know this, but before i changed, i was once too an Atheist. I hated God, (That's right, hated), and i wanted to make Belivers change their ways. Then i saw the power of prayer, and that changed my heart.
And God did NOT create the big bang and evolution. Man made that up as an excuse to not belive in a God
If he didn't create evolution, then why do your DNA strands date back to billions of years ago? And if he didn't create evolution, then why is there proof of evolution EVERYWHERE? I mean in species, and their brains. As we speak, the wolf's, the cat's, the frog's...everything's brains are getting bigger. And I don't believe in the big bang, either. It seems way to unrealistic.
We are all related to each other. Even though i have never met you, I am your brother, panda is your sister, ICC is HER brother, ect. When the first man and woman were created, (Adam and Eve), They had children, who had children, who had children, ect. until us.
Evolution is the ability to change and adapt to surroundings. It's not exactly "Man evolved from monkies" like everyone is always taught. If you take an animal and put it in a habitat they're not used to they will evolve to fit into that environment. Evolution happens all the time.
Well, man is a primate, yes, but since science just classified us as a primate doesn't make us an animal. I thought we were animals, until it was brought to out attetion that God created us in his own image, and that he did not create animals in the image of him.
I'm done arguing... But I will probably never believe in a god. For one, science is much more believable to me as there is proof of evolution. Second of all, religion causes too many problems in the world and it should just die off...which it is. The internet is gradually destroying it.
So I noticed this today, and kinda wanted to ask a question about this: "Well, it is a sin to dance alone. If you dance in a group, it's considered a congragation, so it's ok" <=quote from jtc. Making this 2 msg's so it fits.
So, as a Christian but not a Baptist, I was just wondering where in Scripture the Baptist church has found this law/rule? Cause I know Psalms 149:3 says "Let them praise his name in the dance....." and Ecclesiastess 3:4 says "A time to weep,.......and a time to dance." So I was just curious as to where this belief in the Baptist church comes from.
