While it may not seem like it, just mentioning things is advertising them. Like if I say "I love Dr. Pepper its delicious". It is MY opinion, but its also an advertisement for Dr. Pepper, it can influence others to want to try it because "someone said it was good"

Bonnie is correct here, it is called word-of-mouth advertising in business and economics. One of the most important types of advertisement which is free for the company getting it

basically, what i known is user's review or opinions about other's... you may consider it useful or not, it's up to you. However, it isn't consider a real ads since it's just come from your thoughts. Real ads would like sharing links, as i said.
