I don't. Long ago when I lived with my parents the inside of the house lit up a brilliant blueish-white when lightning struck a tall pine in the backyard less than 50 feet from the house. The boom was intense. After the storm passed we surveyed the damage. The pine had a line in its bark almost whole way down and there were pieces of a wooden fence strewn all over the yard.
I guess I went the opposite route. Lived through a tornado that torn down giant oak trees in the front and back of the house while it rattled and shook the house taking off some parts of the roof. Happened so fast didn't get a chance to hide. My family and I were eating cookies staring out the den windows as the wind picked up and before we knew it the tornado swept through and then was gone.
