Make sure that your motherboard has enough fan headers for the new fans, if not you can always get a fan splitter :)

You can a fan splitter header for roughly $8. I bought one a while back, turns out I didn’t need it, but it does indeed work.

Thanks for the info, im a total noob. Should I also make one of the fans I am buying and intake fan? The stock fan is just one outake fan so was thinking it would be a good idea to have 2 outakes and one intake, or should I have 3 outakes?

I have 4 intakes, one exhaust. Honestly, I have no cooling problems with this setup. Really good positive pressure if anything. Temperatures run low 30's when light gaming.

I have 2 intake fans on the front which are filtered and then 2 outtake fans on the top and back of my PC, which is quite a standard setup

My case supports 5 fans total according to the manufacturer. 1 rear fan, 2 top fans, and 2 front fans. My stock rear fan is outtake. I do believe I will need the extension thing u mentioned- I looked it up and added it to the Amazon cart.

Do either of you have fans you recommend that aren't too expensive (they just need to do their job and be kinda quiet). Not looking to spend more than $10-15 on each fan if I need 3 more of them. Case supports 120mm fans.

My recommendation is going with a known brand like Corsair, the fans I have where all from my AIO corsair cooler and cost a lot of money, but you should be able to find some cheapish bundles on amazon

I too run Corsair fans. I love them. They can be a bit noisy at times, but they get the job done.

I was looking at Corsair, but nearly everything they have is rbg or led... I dont want any of that, just a plain color (white or black all around preferrably). Found a few in my price range from the brands Arctic and be quiet!, Both have high ratings on Amazon but I will continue searching until I get paid lol

Finally installed them. Got them about 4 days ago but was waiting for a day I had no work to install them :P. I removed the stock cooler so I just have the 3 be quiet! fans I ordered. The placement is like so https://imgur.com/u92ooxU

Not sure how good/bad the placement is atm. I can always re-add the stock cooler as a second intake fan on the top of case. Is there a good way to tell if this is a good placement or not?

The placement looks fine to me, and you said you removed the stock cooler? did you mean the stock fans?

yes, my wording was wrong. The case came with 1 stock fan installed in the rear. I took it out and put in one of the better fans I purchased.

ah, and to answer your question about adding more fans in, you can download a temperature program to see how hot you PC is getting like 'Speccy' and if it's getting super hot under load then add more fans in, but if not then I wouldn't bother with it.
