Must be within 16 blocks of the spawner block or else it stops spawning. Height also affects this.

Best way to build it is figure out where you want them to end up (for killing) and watch the spawner. If the mob inside is spinning, it'll spawn. If it's not spinning, you are too far.

It gets harder with multiple spawners. My cave spider farm has 5 spawners and I had the choice of only 2 single blocks that I could stand on and still activate all 5 of them at once.

I mean a spawner like without the actual mob spawner cage thing. I built one of the diamond ones where the water is on a timer and pushes them off. It's pretty tall

Ah misread that. I'm usually 25+ blocks away. Mobs on EMC can spawn with 64 blocks. So really anywhere between 25-64 should be fine.

Ok. It might be taller than 64 after I'm 25 blocks away so idk what I will do

If it uses water to push the mobs then really anywhere is fine. It's when a farm relys on mob movement that you need to be closer.

Well they have to spawn on the pads first and when I ask at the bottom of top a few of the closest pads don't spawn mobs so then it's not 100%
