I'm probably doing an average of 10mph rather than 30, which is great bar all the other cars going faster - trucks/vans/buses don't even slow down for them either
Wonder how difficult that would be to control over a normal car, you get a lot of feeling from the lumps and bumps. Might make driving *too* comfortable.
Most people ignore speed bumps now anyway it seems, and environmentalists are arguing the constant slowing/acceleration between bumps is contributing fairly considerably to pollution as it does require a lot more fuel to accelerate again and again, so it would be better to remove the bumps and instead use speed awareness signs/patrols/even cameras imo
Those signs that look all official but really just turn red when you're going too fast have done more to control my speed than speed bumps ever will, in an active sense.
Those signs are quite good, yeah :) Speed bumps keep my speed down, no doubt, but the fact I have to go slow is annoying for me and everyone around me. Wear on suspension and constant acceleration makes it all worse too!
