I enjoyed the SWBF they released in 2015, so I am looking forward to this one too, especially since it does look pretty awesome.
Not all of EA's games are home runs, but anyone who expects a company to put out a perfect product/service every time has ridiculous expectations. Overall though, I have enjoyed many EA games over the years, and I usually trust them to put out good games.
SWBFII looks like it actually took the criticisms of the first game into account. Plus it's a fantastic collaborative effort between my favourite EA developers. I just hope its player base doesn't completely die out after a few months like with the first's (less people play it now than Battlefield 4, which was released 4 years ago this year...). Didn't happen with Battlefield 1, so I have higher hopes.
My biggest complaint about the first one is a few basic logic flaws, such as laser weapons can't be fired through shields, so there are solid projectile weapons to bypass that. Problem is, you can't shoot a projectile weapon out of your own shield, but people can shoot into your shield. It doesn't make sense.
Also, the game has a tendency to just glitch out every now and again. I was doing really well in a round and the game just froze on the respawning screen.
My biggest complaint about it was that it had less content than its predecessor - a game that was, at the time of EA's SWBF, 10 years old. And also the fact that even now I continue to die at the same time as the person I've just shot to death because... I don't really know why.
