Dont worry, I still plan on doing that same thing, in 1.10 you need 4 endstone to make 1 brick. ATM, you need 4 to make 4. Much better imo, use it while its here.
Just tested it in 1.10 singleplayer and 4 endstone still equal 4 endstone bricks. Do you know if that's a bug or intended?
I am only stating what I heard from Youtube, didnt test it for myself. Oh well, maybe you did waste time :P
