Forgive me if I've had a misunderstanding somewhere, but I was under the impression a Jihad is the Muslim equivalent of a Catholic Crusade.
"Jihad" is simply defined as struggle or striving. It's not really a holy war like it's painted by ISIS and other terrorist groups.
I never got that impression from terrorist organisations. Crusader Kings 2 put me under that impression :P
The only thing terrorist organisations ever made me realise was that both them and American foreign policy is the cancer of the world.
So true. Too bad that word has such a negative connotation to it now, when really the meaning is so beautiful.
