Scott's games have always been pretty bad. I liked the original Five Nights At Freddy's for its original concept and quirkiness to its characters, but I still found the execution to be poor. The sequel was pretty good, but from there it was a fast road downhill. FNAF World is just Scott raking in as much money as he can and returning to his roots, which are even worse than FNAF.
It has become more obvious as time as gone on. Originally it seemed more towards making a fun and great game. Obviously everyone has money in mind when doing anything.
I think the original game was born out of wanting to do something different with gameplay and stuff, and it turned out well. FNAF 2 seems to have been born out of wanting to expand on that. The third game was when it became obvious that he was just in it for the money. By the time he'd released the novel, it was obvious Scott was just trying to milk it.
The first game was turned from one of his games, that he was insulted by, having the characters in those RPGs scary animatronics. FNaF 2 was made to continue onward, and then a story and MatPat strolled along :P. The last 2 FNaF games were just for money, the 4 installment sucked IMO and FNaF world is just straight out criticizing his own work from the past.
We know lol. It still doesn't mean we should allow shitty practices to slip past us just because he apologised - the gaming industry has enough of them as it is (console exclusives, microtransactions, pre-order DLC,season passes, Steam Greenlight, mobile games, etc).
