After two years, we got Iran to give up a few reactors, and let us see their operation with a decent amount of notice. We gave up getting back hostages, random searches, and other provisions that would've made the deal less risky.
The fact that they did so little for us, and got so much in return, and did not budge on reasonable expectations for two years shows us what we should think of Iran.
You expected anything else? The Bush administration put us in a state of near-perpetual warfare in the Middle East, and Obama's been playing the role of Sisyphus trying to avoid further conflict. Iran knows it. Putin knows it too (another matter entirely).
I wish people would stop wanting to be trusted by the US and western powers. Then we wouldn't have this problem at all and we could all have nuclear power. coal would be a thing of the past and oil dependency... well that might stifle just a tad but I'm sure it wouldn't be long before it was right back where it was before such things. As far as Iran having a nuke... so?
