Hi guys. I hope all of you are doing well today. This idea popped into my head when I was reporting a player last night. (I will not give out who or why.) While I was writing out the /report, I realized that with the character limit, it was very hard to be detailed in the report. This led to me abbreviating and leaving out important information that would have helped staff resolve the issue faster. This, no offense to staff, wasted their time while they could've taken action on the issue and get back to what they were doing previously. Instead, of trying to get information, they would already have all the necessary information to take actin. They take time out of their time to help us and I believe they shouldn't have to spend more than we have to. I have a few proposed commands: /report Dr_Chocolate14 (Reason) /report Dr_Chocolate14-cont'd (Reason-Continued) Obviously you could set different aliases but the basic idea would still be present. Again, I apologize for anyone getting offended. Thank you for reading and please leave your feedback in both poll and comment form.
A better report system has been in the works for a while now. I thought it would work something like this: You type /report PlayerName and the chat would be cleared. You could then type whatever could fit on that line, press enter, and type another line of the report. You could then type /report end, and the report box would close and chat would come back.
I believe chickeneer is working to overhaul some parts with the Reporting system, but we'll have to see what results from it.
As a temporary solution, putting more details in a Hastebin and including the link in the /report is absolutely needed works
