Hm... while I can see the reasoning behind this (you want people to build without being restricted by cost or material), what if someone went to the trouble of obtaining everything they needed for their dream-house and already built it on SMP? Alternately, wilderness is allowed (pure survival / materials gather) but residences aren't? I'm just a little puzzled at the decision. One other question: When you say dream house, are you speaking of a Minecraft house (which would imply brewing stands, enchanting tables, storage areas, etc), or living in that house IRL (bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen & dining room, and so forth)?
Well, You can build Mostly build On Creative to build what ever you like. Some People have some very Interestng Creations at there Outposts. So If you Want you can. But If you want you can go into Creative Sp to build what ever you want without having to get the things. Most Peoples Entrys I saw Are Like a real house.

Thats on purpose, It's a WIP, it was supposed to become a little river, running to a lake where I would build another biodome waterhouse with boat garage =p
