The shop is supposed to be a last resort, if no one has what you want you buy from there, the reason it's so high is because it's every item in Minecraft (except those others like sponge and command block) is found in there at unlimited amounts, some even unable to be found in vanilla survival Minecraft, so I don't see why you don't get it
I'll take my chances, thanks. Those select items you mentioned that are unique to Creative, I understand. Upon realizing that it's a price cap, it makes more sense. However anyone who goes there just to purchase daily items needs a reminder that shops sell for less. I blew away most of my money when I first started, just because I had no idea that shops sold the same items for much cheaper prices.
