Barad - Dur (1/7th scale)

Took me forever to realise what these things were, Erebor...is that like Prince of Persia? Wait! Thats the Drwarven Hall! Oh...

not really a fan, just like the building style from the buildings from the movies.
and also i'm maniacal when it comes to details sometimes

update for today, I added the second wall and second tower, on top of that second wall there is already the beginning of the next wall, this is the base of the actual fortress while the rest is outer walls, mountain and caves

i began to work on the tower itself today, also jacob helped me with the lava lake and apothecy made a rather classy cobble generator for the mountain

You should add some blocks like buddar in the inside to make it look cool :3

Depends, do you want to do roleplay fights with several players with the good and bad guys, or do you just want to make something pretty?
Helmsdeep seems to be quite difficult as you will have to build some massive mountains around the fortress.
Maybe It's more interesting to make Edoras, home of the Rohirrim on 1/2th scale. (imagine their team with horses with the upcoming update)
Or Minas tirith also on 1/7th scale.

If you want to continue in my style, it might be better to build the black gate.

As I am waiting in town for the next update for new types of stone (see the rivendell project), me and Apothecy and sometimes DaflamingTaco started to make a new place inside barad dur.
As some might know, many fortresses from the bad guys in Lotr were once castles and buildings from humans and other good races. But they were conquered and changed for the needs of orcs and other malevolent creatures.

Barad-Dur is no exception so I started to make some "older" gondor style rooms inside the mountain.
You can see from the exterior that there is actually another castle within the fortress.

And coming out of the fog the glorious throne of old, still doubting wether I should place a statue in it too.

I also put much work in the vaulting, but to give the room more atmosphere I made it really dark.

Looks great clonotron! I like this idea and the exterior looks fantastic, inside looks great too!
Also, hooray for me!
