  1. I have a iMac 27in 2013
    i5-4670 3.4ghz
    16GB 1600Mhz DDR3 ram (4x4gb)
    NVIDIA GTX 775M 2gb
    PNY 240GB SSD
    macOS 10.13.6

bought it off ebay with a faulty drive, replaced it with a ssd and upgraded the ram from 8gb.
almost the same computer as someone posted earlier (same year at least). Put windows 10 on it but windows kept breaking itself.

  2. I'm only posting to complain about the fact that y'all use "potato" as a measure of badness.

    Potatoes are supreme.

    Up to 16 GB DDR4 2400 MHz
    Storage
    ?
Storage is where data, like documents and applications, resides permanently on your computer. Not to be confused with memory, which is only active when the computer is in use. Larger files like media files will need larger storage.

  4. heyy we have the exact same thing except mine has 2x4gb and 3.2ghz instead of 3.4ghz!
  5. Do workstations count? I used them for my rendering that I do.
  6. Totally, go ahead
  7. First I'm going to list off a painful setup.

My file server machine hosts all of my render managers and render outputs:

    Celeron J1900 @ 1.99 GHz
    4GB SODIMM
    Integrated graphics (VGA [analog] output)
    1x 120 GB SSD
    1x 2TB 7200 RPM HDD

Now that's out of the way, let's get to the good stuff:

(Please note, I have two Dell T5500 machines with the exact same setup, so I will list the specs for these machines once.)

    Dell Precision Workstation T5500
    2x Xeon X5690
    8 GB DDR3 ECC RAM
10 year old Quadro card (I don't know the actual number)
    1x 120GB SSD

    Dell Precision Workstation T7910
    2x Xeon E5-2695 V3
    16 GB DDR4 ECC RAM
    Quadro K620
    1x 120GB SSD

I also have 2 other machines, but I do not think they're worth mentioning, as one of them is a laptop and the other is not fully assembled, though I do have all the parts to do it.
