    If 1/3 is .3 repeating in decimal form, and 2/3 is .6 repeating in decimal form, why is 3/3 not .9 repeating in decimal form? .3 repeating times 3 is .9 repeating, so where is the logic in math?

  10. 3/3 is 1 because 3 goes into 3 one time.

    and 3 times .3 repeating is .9 repeating because it's .3 repeating + .3 repeating +.3 repeating

    and if you'd like to, .9 repeating rounds up to 1 because it is the smallest decimal number.

    Math is full of logic, but don't kill yourself overthinking it.
