  4. I'm an enthusiast for TCG games, having played mainly Yu-Gi-Oh, Hearthstone, and Magic the Gathering among others. I must say that it looks interesting and that I may even try my hand at it. I can't wait to see what else is in store from you, and congratulations.

  7. Bump B.B. out of the way!
  8. Alea Iacta Est!

edit: originally "Alea Lacta Est", thanks for the correction, 607! :D
  9. What's that supposed to mean? :p (I actually don't think it means anything, but perhaps it's a pun I don't get)

  10. It's a phrase that Julius Caesar said before invading a certain place (thus starting a Civil War). It means "To throw the dice." Or "Now we throw dice."
  11. iacere is written with an I, though, not an L. :p
So it should be alea iacta est. ;)
Besides, that translation is wrong; it means The die has been thrown.

He said it when crossing the river. ;)

  12. Weird, I thought I had the right spelling... And now that I check it again, it seems there are 2 or 3 spelling variants for 'iacta', 'lacta', and 'jacta'.

    *o*'
  13. So I hate to be rude, and I certainly don't mean this as such, but how exactly would releasing the game in set boxes work? I mean everyone has easy access to every card, there's not rarity attached to a card or anything. Also, until you release set two, everyone has the same deck. That just doesn't seem enjoyable at all.

  14. I personally have played/collected numerous CCG's in the past (and some still... XD) like Pokemon, MtG, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Duel Masters (later Kaijudo), Magi Nation, Cardfight!! Vanguard, etc. ... so I know where you are coming from on the common card pool of players. (I was kinda obsessed with boosters, lol.) The premise of CCG modeled card games is to encourage creativity (ignoring net-decking, ofc) in deck building so that each player can tailor their own custom strategy. Whether their deck focuses on theme, art, mechanics, or beating the 'meta'--players can express their ideal deck and play a game with others. (Note: no hate on net-decks. If someone wants to have the best odds to win at a tournament to get real prizes, scholarships, fame, etc. more power to them.)

In this card game the deck (Set # Box) is more like a board game (say like Monopoly, Catan, Ticket to Ride, etc.) and I do not claim this idea to be original at all (see Dominion [deck-builder], see Fantasy Flight's "LCG" games [even though some LCG's still have custom deck building]). All the cards you need to play (a truly large number of different scenario/outcome games) is in 1 Box. Players can obtain other Boxes or only get (for example) Set #7 and still play the game with their friends, even if their friends do not own a Set at all. Each Set Box is designed to be the complete game experience for a group of players to play the game from, you do not build your own decks. However, if players want, they could agree to mix Sets together or have a 'war' between different Set Boxes, etc.

Hopefully I answered your question. :D

  16. "When a rival has 2 or more in play units than you do"
Huh? Do you mean "When a rival has 2 in play units or more in play units than you do"?
Also, did you actually trademark and copyright this deal?

  17. The original wording for the syntax is neater in the template. Although I do see what your syntax is trying to achieve. :D

Company and rights have been established for a while and the base game here is part of a larger family of games I've developed and marketed since 2008. Trademark (TM) in the US isn't the same as (R).
