  1. Im having difficulty decrypting stuff, hopefully will get a breakthrough soon :)

edit: If there is anyone out there who is good at decrypting all superspystyle, lemme know

  2. If you are struggling with it, I would recommend posting what you found and discussing it here. It sounds like you need someone's help anyway decrypting the messages.

  3. It is hard to give you a hint when I don't know what you have done so far. :p
If you don't have access to Linux, the decryption clue will be less useful. Look around at anything that has text. If it looks like it doesn't belong in a noob's let's play, it is probably a clue. There are also several keys and encrypted messages so if it doesn't work on one, try the others.

  4. I'm sorry but I'm going to have to file a lawsuit.

I'm watching this at 10 o'clock at night, with headphones on, in the dark, and I'm 99.9% sure that random nether jumpscare about a third of the way through gave me an actual heart attack.

    Cover my medical bills :p

  5. Stoopid Linux....
  6. I remember this game.. Took everyone forever last time. Special fonts.. Hypothetical theorems... Mindbending . :p
  7. As of now, the main thing we're stuck on is the strings of seemingly random characters that begin with the Base64 encryption of the string "Salted_" and ending with = or ==.

  8. I couldn't resist this post.

  9. Who solved the last one? ;p And can they decrypt stuff? :D
  10. Just have one message, no keys
Until you find other options, then you are kinda stuck

  11. This is quite a bit more complicating then I thought it would be
Nice though, a real challenge ;)
How long did it take you to make this?

  12. The command for the decryption algorithm is hidden somewhere in the video. The only things missing are a couple of the options passed with it but those should be easy enough to figure out. It looks like most websites don't like the way the command outputs the base64, so try and figure out the command then find someone nice enough to use it for you. I think there is also a windows binary of it as well so that might work too.

Don't un-base64 the messages. The command you are looking for takes those specific strings as input. It will handle all of the decryption for you.

If you got that from the puzzle, you did something wrong.
That site does not work for this.
We started it many months ago and wrote out scripts and planned the puzzles. We then all forgot about it for a while. Recently, I remembered it, cut most of the puzzles, and finished it. We were going to really push the story aspect of it and stay in character but that didn't work.

  13. I have a decryptor for this type of encryption, but I have no idea how to get the encrypted words into an encrypted file soooo. =(

  14. What is your decryptor?
  15. Since progress has been slow, I recommend those that have made progress do an information dump here and see if anyone can piece it together. I also recommend looking at the part where I pull up the webpage.

  16. If there aren't any signs of progress here in a couple of days, I will probably just post the solution. Last chance to try and figure it out. openssl is the command and aes-256-cbc is the encryption type. There are 5 encrypted messages in the video and 1 on the residence. Once you have decrypted them all, you will have the answer.
  17. Unfortunately that part of it was just past my expertise :( I had fun though with what I could do
  18. You might want to post what you found so far then so others can use it if it matches their area of expertise. Like the previous puzzles, this is meant to be a group effort where everyone shares their progress. There are many different pieces required to solve this so only by working together can the solution be found.
