Northern European Eclipse 2015

  1. So, the first partial solar eclipse in the UK (not sure about the rest of Europe...) since 1999 happened today. I only seen approximately 1 minute of it (as the sky darkened and it got colder, and just as the moon began to 'slide away' from the Sun), but it was 10/10 one of the most amazing things I have seen in my life.

Here's a bad quality picture taken through eclipse glasses by my mum :p

Aaand the European Space Agency's timelapse taken by its Proba-2 satellite...

    I can't wait for August 2026...
    Dwight5273 and BlackKnight1021 like this.
  2. I didn't get to see it for these reasons:
    1. It was very cloudy. I mean VERY.
    2. I was at school.
  3. I got to see a partial eclipse a couple months ago over here in America. It was kinda hard to see though, but still a great experience.

On another note, on April 4th, there will be a total lunar eclipse in Asia/the Americas for anyone who wants to see it.
  4. I was at school and it was cloudy for me too :p

Most teachers let us out to see it, and the clouds actually helped people to look at it :p
